Meetings
Each component has its own officers including trustee, president
and treasurer. The components often hold meetings,
have study club sessions, continuing education courses, organize
community oral health projects and social gatherings. This is where
you can get to know your fellow hygienists and get involved.
Board of Trustees
and House Delegates
Four times each year there is a meeting of the officers and trustees
from each component - the Board of Trustees meeting. Once each year there is an annual session where elected
delegates from each component meet to make decisions about the work
and the policies of WDHA - the House of Delegates.
Lobbyist
WDHA employs lobbyists who monitor
legislation that is important to the profession of dental hygiene
and attend the Dental Examining Board meetings in Madison. The lobbyist
also assists in drafting and promoting new legislation when the
Board of Trustees or House of Delegates directs them to do so.
Membership
Membership in ADHA / WDHA
is voluntary, but essential for the professional development of
the dental hygienist. Check out our down-loadable membership form! |
